State and DMV Approved
The NDSS Colorado Drivers Education course is DMV-approved to cover the 30-hour Colorado Drivers License for Teen education classroom requirement. There are a few Colorado Drivers Education Course requirements for Colorado teens to complete before they get their permit.
After you complete our driver education course, you'll receive a Certificate of Completion that you'll need to take to the DMV in order to get your permit. Once you get your permit, if you are under 16 years, 6 months old, you must complete 6 hours of Behind the Wheel training (unless you live over 30 miles from a full-time druver education school). All teens with their permit must log 50 hours of driving, 10 which need to be at night.
You must have your permit for 12 full months before you can apply for your license.
Teens must also keep a written log that indicates they have completed 50 hours of driving practice with a supervisor, and at least 10 of the hours must be driven at night.
